Cross Hills Gardens is a park-like garden in Kimbolton in the Manawatu region of the North Island. The garden features one of the world’s finest collections of rhododendrons and azaleas. An onsite camellia maze gives the children, and the young at heart, hours of fun!
The large gardens of Cross Hills consists of over 2,000 varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas. Many other rare trees, shrubs and perennials add interest to all seasons and provide a colourful and vibrant display.
Onsite facilities include a cafe and a shop. Most buildings and virtually all gardens are accessible by wheelchairs or electric scooters. Alternatively, you can book a tour on the ‘Magic Mini’ and get chauffeured around the gardens.
