Cardrona Alpine Resort

Cardrona Alpine Resort is a ski & bike resort on New Zealand’s South Island. It is situated on the Crown Range Road — a steep, mountainous route between Queenstown and Wanaka — in an especially scenic part of the country.

Its high elevation and southerly aspect mean dry natural snow is plentiful. And extensive snowmaking facilities complement the natural snow.

Cardrona features NZ’s only combined gondola chairlift, easy-to-use surface lifts, specialized beginner packages and plenty of wide open trails. These facilities, spread over three basins, make it a popular ski spot in winter.

In summer ski runs become bike trails to create Aotearoa’s highest mountain bike park. And Cardrona is equally popular with mountain bikers.
