Dansey’s Pass

Danseys Pass is a mountain pass located in the Kakanui Range in the South Island of New Zealand. It’s a well maintained scenic drive. The, gravel and sand surfaced, road winds through both farmland and tussock laced local mountains.

The pass itself is located at the boundary of the Waitaki and the Central Otago districts. It is also the boundary between the Canterbury and Otago regions.

At an elevation of 935 m (3,068 ft) above the sea level, the pass lies between the Maniototo plain and the Kakanui Mountains.
