The Tamahere community lies on the south-eastern outskirts of Hamilton. Originally a farming area it has become a combination of smaller intensive horticultural and lifestyle blocks. And today it offers peaceful country living to it’s residents.
The popular, monthly Tamahere Country Market is held on the grounds of the Anglican church, St Stephen’s. It offers everything from seasonal fruit and vegetables to imaginative art and craft, local wine, delicious cooked food and is also a community and social hub.
