Important Information – Get Ready to Travel
IMPORTANT: New Zealand Traveller Declaration www.TravellerDeclaration.govt.nz
It is your responsibility to ensure you understand and follow the airline and government regulations for travel to New Zealand. We Tour Group take no responsibility if travel or entry into New Zealand is denied due to regulations not being met.
You will no longer be required to get a COVID-19 pre-departure test to enter New Zealand. However, the requirement for on arrival tests currently remain and you are still required to take two Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) when you arrive in New Zealand, on day one and five/six. These are provided by Biosecurity on arrival in New Zealand. You are requested to report your RAT results, even if you test negative.
Everyone travelling to New Zealand by air must complete a New Zealand Traveller Declaration and receive a Traveller Pass before they travel. This includes New Zealand citizens, residents and children. The New Zealand Traveller Declaration is an online system that collects your travel and COVID-19 health-related information. The New Zealand Government needs this information before you fly to New Zealand, so that you know what you need to do when you arrive.
You need to submit your declaration online before you arrive at your departure airport. Once your flight is booked, you can complete your declaration up to 28 days before you fly. Your declaration may take around 30 minutes to complete, so give yourself plenty of time to do it. If your New Zealand Traveller Declaration meets the requirements, you will receive a Traveller Pass.
You’ll be asked to show your Traveller Pass at check-in and when you arrive in New Zealand unless you exit Customs via the eGates. It is free to complete your declaration.
You will need to provide:
If you are not travelling to New Zealand by air i.e. you are based in New Zealand, you may need to have your COVID-19 vaccination certificate ready to show and submit when required on your tour. This can be a digital vaccine certificate or another form of electronic or paper document from a government health authority or approval authority confirming you have had a full COVID-19 vaccine course.
